What is Collectors Helping Collectors?
A camera tool for collectors. Point your phone at a collectible, get an identification and an estimated value, then save it to your catalogue. It is a product of Mal's Magic Emporium, LLC — the same company behind Mal's Magic Emporium. A store purchase is not a Pro subscription.
How does a scan work?
Open Scan Collectible, allow the camera or upload a photo, optionally add a hint, then tap Identify. You can see the result without an account for the first 3 identifies. Log in to save the item and to keep identifying up to 10 total. Hints help but are optional. A wrong hint can throw the result off.
How accurate is it?
Good enough to get you close. Not an appraisal. Lighting, box vs loose, knockoffs, and rare variants all confuse it. Values are estimates, not a promise of what your copy will sell for. If the name is wrong, retake the photo, add a better hint, or edit the catalogue entry.
How many free scans do I get?
3 identifications with no account. Sign in for 10 total. Saving and editing items you already have does not use a scan. After that you need Pro to keep identifying.
What does Pro include?
Unlimited identifications, cloud catalogue across your devices, value refresh and stock-image options, and cancel anytime. Price is $7.99 per month unless the Upgrade page shows a different amount at checkout. See Upgrade.
How do I pay and cancel?
Payments go through Stripe. We never see your full card number. Cancel in the billing portal on the Upgrade page. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. If the portal is down, email MalsMagicEmporium@gmail.com from the same address on your account.
What happens to my photos?
You own them. Photos you save stay in your catalogue. When you tap Identify, that image is sent to our AI provider. Do not photograph faces, IDs, or anything you do not want processed. Delete items in the catalogue, or email us to delete the whole account.
Is my catalogue on this phone only?
No. Signed-in catalogue items are stored in the cloud so you can open them on another device with the same account.
Can I use it on iPhone and Android?
Yes in the mobile browser today. A listing on the Apple App Store and Google Play is planned. The website is the product now.
Does this work as an official price guide?
No. It is a helper for collectors, not a licensed appraisal, insurance value, or authentication service. We do not guarantee a buy or sell price based on a scan.
Who can use it?
You should be 13 or older. Under 18, use it with a parent or guardian.
