Mal's Magic Emporium, LLC operates Collectors Helping Collectors at https://www.collectorshelpingcollectors.com and any related mobile or store apps (the “Service”).

Privacy questions: MalsMagicEmporium@gmail.com. We do not publish a street address on this Service. If the law requires a mailing address for a specific request, we will provide it by email.

The store at malsmagic.com has its own privacy statement for merchandise orders. This policy covers Collectors Helping Collectors only.

Name, if you provide it
Customer and subscription IDs from Stripe when you start checkout

Collectible content you submit

Photos you take or upload
Optional hints, notes, and catalogue fields
Identification results we return and you save
Estimated values and any stock image you choose to attach

Usage, device, payments, camera

Pages visited, buttons used, and scan counts
Approximate location from IP, browser, and device type
Limited billing data from Stripe. We do not store full card numbers
Camera is used on your device only when you take a photo to submit

How we use information

We use it to run your account, identify items, save and sync your catalogue, enforce free limits and Pro access, process subscriptions, fix bugs, prevent abuse, and answer support email. We do not sell your personal information. We will not send marketing email unless you opt in.

AI and photos

When you tap Identify, we send the image and any hint you typed to an AI vision provider (currently Anthropic) so it can return a structured guess. Do not photograph documents, faces, or anything you do not want processed. AI output can be wrong.

Stripe — checkout, subscriptions, invoices, Customer Portal

Auth / database provider — accounts and cloud catalogue
Advisors and authorities when required by law
A buyer of the business if Mal's Magic Emporium, LLC is sold or merged

Cookies

We use cookies or local storage needed to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and count scans. The Service may not work if required cookies are blocked.

How long we keep information

Account and catalogue data stay while the account is open, then are deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after you ask us to delete the account, unless we must keep a record. Billing records are kept as tax and accounting rules require.

Security

We use HTTPS and industry-standard hosting. Stripe handles card data under PCI rules. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Children

The Service is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Email us if you believe we have, and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can access or correct account details in the Service, delete catalogue items, cancel a subscription through the Customer Portal, and request a copy or deletion of personal information by emailing MalsMagicEmporium@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional state privacy rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

International users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from another country, your information is processed in the United States.

Changes

We may update this Policy and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
